As part of the Melbourne International Film Festival:
Yesterday at The Wheeler Centre, we joined 3RRR’s resident Britpop expert Steve Wide, in conversation with New Zealand’s Florian Habicht (Pulp: A Film About Life, Death and Supermarkets, MIFF 2014; Love Story, MIFF 2012) and, via Skype, Britpop wunderkind Jarvis Cocker, as they talked about reinventing the rock doc in honour of Pulp’s hometown Sheffield.
Unfortunately, the doco that was screening afterwards was sold out so we went for a drink instead.
The queue for the film was enormous so we didn’t bother trying for standby tixs.
However, as we were leaving, we bumped into the film’s director, Florian Habicht.
Florian was simply lovely and, while we were taking selfies on Flinders St, he offered to get us in to see the film. What a sweetie!
